About the project

Developed from ideas put forward by the Young Southwark Partnership in 2008, the Foot in the Door project aims to generate and promote work experience and part time work opportunities for local young people who are still in education in Southwark.

The project will:

  • enable young people to earn some money while still studying;
  • equip them with some new life and work skills;
  • raise the profile of young people in the area;
  • enable them to show to employers that they can be reliable, hard-working and committed employees.
