Welcome to Young Southwark Works

Young Southwark Works was established in 2008 to help deliver projects and support for young people, mainly through the development of the Foot in the Door project, which is targeted at local 16-18 year olds, who are still in education and looking for work experience and/or part-time work.

Any young people, aged 16-18 who live in Southwark, can access support via the contacts on these pages or via our Southwark Works Facebook page.

Southwark Works

Young Southwark Works is part of the Southwark Works programme which has been helping adult residents (18+) to find training and work opportunities for the last 7 years. The programme targets and gives priority to people who are disadvantaged in the labour market. Southwark Works’ Employment Advisers also work with young people through partnerships with Connexions, Southwark College, local schools and other training providers. We offer help through running CV workshops, finding work experience, job or apprenticeship opportunities and offering insights into, and connecting young people to the world of work.
